Well, I don't know about you but I'm so sick of the foul weather I wanted to do, if not a sunny shoot, then something that was totally unrelated to the seasons. I thought I'd showcase these three gorgeous lace dresses. So pretty. This is also the first pic I've taken wearing my Loudmouth - though it's not very clear - and I'll definitely be wearing it in more pics, its super cute. Hey peeps,

Oo, what is naughty Ophelia up to, hanging around in a hotel room in her smalls? Is she having a assignation with her lover, is she meeting up with her man after a long business trip? Perhaps she's just really pleased with her tidy hemline* and feels it deserves a regular airing. I'll leave that up to your imagination...

I'd like to show you a couple of cool things, firstly the decor. This is the Avenue Set by Tartessos Arts. Like everything from the talented Nico Griffith, the set is beautifully made with lots of meshy goodness and a nice, healthy low land impact. Many of the items are texture changeable and, with a bedroom and living room set, can be mixed and matched to compliment any room. This is a sleek, modern set  with just a hint of retro and I thought it would look well with my upmarket hotel suite vibe. Tartessos Arts is a store I've shopped at for a while now and I find it particularly great if you're looking for low LI, affordable home decor fillers like phones, bins, kitchen bits n bats, clocks, TV's and other paraphernalia  If you haven't looked in before, I heartily recommend a visit. Oo, and Nico is the sweetest guy...

I'd also like to point out my awesome body. I'm looking pretty hot, right? This is the Wowmeh mesh body by Bit McMillan available on Marketplace. It comes without a head, so you wear your own and the whole shape, except the boobs, are fairly moddable so you can tweak the shape to your liking. The best bit? It's only L$150, which in my book is pretty cheap for a mesh body. I only stumbled across it by chance on MP when I got it into my head that I wanted to try a mesh avatar. With all the drawbacks to everyday wearing of a mesh avi (clothing, tattoo layers etc) I didn't want to spend a lot of Lindens on one so this seemed perfect. I particularly love the stomach, hips, thigh area - I think it's giving me a realistic, slender, sexy shape that can be hard to achieve with the regular SL body. It's particularly useful for photography, I guess, even if I'm not going to be wearing it for everyday use. The only negatives are that the hands and feet are a bit squiffy and the arms can get a bit deformed in certain poses. The skin texture isn't bad (though the boobs could be improved) and there are a number of skin shades and options available via a HUD along with a body alpha option to hide certain areas of the body to enable the wearing of mesh clothes. In all, I think this is a super cute mesh body for the price and a nice prop for photos.

Check Mate

Hi Sweeties,

Well, so much for trying to post regularly; after getting off to a good start I've been horribly lazy this past couple of weeks. That said, I've been so busy in RL I've barely logged in for over a fortnight and, when I did, I've discovered I've been missing tons of awesome events. Gonna be hitting the wallet hard in the next few days catching up on all my missed shopping, eek!
I did manage to pop over to Collabor88 and fell in love with u.f.o's cute offering. Love this round of C88, so many adorable goodies. Everything in SL has currently gone Autumn and halloween mad so I'd better get busy if I want to get some cute Halloween and Autumn inspired posts in before we all decide to be obsessed with snow and Christmas!
Still having issues taking large snaps without crashing though a clean reinstall has sorted out my texture issues a little (thanks to the lovely Madi Fray for her tip). All in all, I'm finding my SL photography experience horribly frustrating and am really hoping for a Firestorm viewer update soon. Fingers crossed.

Inbetween days

Hi, and welcome to my blog! 

I've been thinking of starting a blog for quite some time, given that my main interests in Second Life are fashion and photography. Up until recently, though, I didn't feel my photography was up to scratch - I think I've improved a lot! I'm not sure I'll be able to post as regularly as I'd like, RL keeps me busy, but I'll try to post as often as I can. I really hope you enjoy visiting my blog and please feel free to comment.
